The Muncaster Blues

Is it really only a week ago
That I was surely there?
If I close my eyes and picture it
I’m almost really there
Again amongst the greenness
And climbing up the fell
Past the tarn of such great beauty
With its lily pads in swell
From then on somewhat steeply
With Hookers Crag in sight
Marvelling at the vista
Unravelling left and right
Stopping at the summit
To sit and take a rest
The views are just astounding
North, south, east and west

But my eyelids now pop open
And I see to my disgust
My desk, PC and workload
And some filing gathering dust
