Benjamin

My name is Benjamin
He softly said
And gave a gentle shake
Of woolly head

My name is Benjamin
He called out loud
Looking to inform
The tourist crowd

It’s BENJAMIN I say
Why can’t you hear?
I’ve said it quite enough
Oh dear, oh dear

Rose to his feet
And stood upon a boulder
He bleated BENJAMIN
With stiff-squared shoulder

With angry face
He climbed on to a rock
It’s BENJAMIN
He blathered to his flock

Why do they get it wrong?
The hurt’s gone deep
They look at me
And all they say is SHEEP

My name is Benjamin
He softly said
And gave a gentle shake
Of woolly head
