Rodel (Harris)

Rodel (or Roghadal) is a small village at the southern end of South Harris. The village contains St. Clements Church, which was built for the MacLeods of Harris, who actually lived on the eastern side of the Minch, on Skye.

The church is also known as Tur Chliamainn, or 'Clements Tower'. It is one of the most impressive Medieval buildings in the Outer Hebrides and contains the 1528 tomb of Alasdair Crotach MacLeod, 8th Chief of the MacLeods.
