Dufftown is sometimes called the 'Malt Whisky Capital' of Scotland. The town sits on a tributary of the River Spey, and is on the Speyside Way.
Dufftown is the home of the Glenfiddich Distillery, which produced its first spirit on Christmas Day 1887. Glenfiddich is now a very large concern, but has retained it charm.
