A view along the path that runs above Hause Point, where the modern road runs around a rocky outcropping on the shores of Crummock Water. Before the modern road was built, this would have been the route to Buttermere, and the point where the path passes between the top of the rocky outcropping and the main slopes of Rannerdale Knotts (left) the hause, or pass.
