Grassholme is a small community in Lunedale, a side-valley of Teesdale. The scattered buildings are located at the northern end of Grassholme Reservoir, and were just high enough up the hillside to survive the flooding of the valley bottom. Just to the west of the Selset Reservoir, and the road through Grassholme gives easy access to both lakes.
