Newbiggin is a small hamlet close to the Esk Estuary, on the opposite side of the river to Ravenglass.
Directions: The most reliable route to Newbiggin is to turn off the main road at Waberthwaite and follow the minor road through the village and on to Newbiggin. The village can also be approached from the Eskmeals direction, but the road under the railway is often flooded at high tide.
