As the name implies, Lodore Falls is actually a series of smaller waterfalls that cascade down the mouth of Watendlath, at the entrance to Borrowdale.
The falls can be approached along a signposted path that starts at the Lodore Hotel, and climbs up through along a wooded gully to the falls. A series of paths lead to several different viewpoints along the side of the falls, some of which look to have been deliberately created.
As the presence of the hotel would suggest, the falls have been a tourist attraction for many years, but if you pick your time you can still enjoy them in (relative) solitude.
